Dear Friends and Supporters,
This is Chris Andrew. My sister Kelly and I are facing a challenging time as our Dad, Bob Andrews, was admitted to hospital on August 1st and suffered two heart attacks during his three-week stay. With the help of some friends we were able to cover the costs of the previous admission, however, we are struggling with the latest news as we have been told he needs a life-saving operation, a quadruple bypass, on September 11th.
The total cost of the operation is over 900,000 Thai baht, approximately US$ 26,500. Without this surgery the prognosis for his survival is very poor indeed. With it though he has every chance of living a full life.
The hospital want 500,000 Thai Baht, approximately US$ 15,000, of the payment by September the 6th, which is when he has to go back into hospital to prepare for the operation; this gives us very little time.
