We've had a whirlwind of good and bad the last few months.

Mike got to celebrate his dad's 80th birthday in Lancaster PA with a lot of family and friends Oct 21st.

We were humbled and blessed to get an invitation to the wedding of the daughter of dear friends of ours.....just so Mike could dance with Libby and have it recorded for her wedding someday!!!!

Knowing that he probably won't be on earth for Libby's wedding, and that this would be incredibly meaningful, we said yes and planned to do it, picking a special song, buying clothes, etc!

All along, for the last week or so, I knew Mike was not well. He was getting really confused, weak, lots of pain, etc. But we were not going to miss that wedding.

Yesterday, Oct 28th, amid much stress, traveling, Mike not being well, us getting over colds, and mixups at the wedding, Mike and Libby danced. There wasn't a dry eye in the building.

Then this morning, as I listened to his breathing, saw his color, and continued confusion, called the doctor, who said ER right away.

His cancer spread significantly, including into his brain, the dreaded news we were hoping not to hear. At this moment, he's admitted, getting pain meds, and waiting to hear what, if any, next treatment can be done.

We need more time, we are not ready to let him go yet. However, I'm torn to pieces seeing him suffer the way he is.
