Our family has witnessed first-hand the devastating environmental, social, and economic consequences of deforestation. With the current annual deforestation rate of 2.5%, Uganda risks losing all its forest coverage in the next 2 decades!
With the planting of 20,000 trees, we are creating a symbiotic relationship for multiple agricultural components - the trees we plant, the goats we raise, the bees that pollinate, and the crops that feed us.
Our goal is $25,000 for the purchase of 20 acres and 20,000 tree seedlings. For every dollar donated, Folino’s Pizza in Vermont will match up to $10,000.
Additionally, it’s important to highlight the jobs training these trees will provide for our community and the exposure to agriculture for our younger generations. Today we face an overwhelming shortage of skilled workers in plant and animal sciences. Think of the benefits of inspiring a young Ugandan to pursue a career as a farm vet!
We hope that our farm will serve as a model to others in Kamuli: to embrace sustainable agroforestry for energy, food security, income, and better environmental outcomes. It’s all about creating a resilient sustainable future for Kamuli.

Thank you to everyone who has donated and shared! We are so grateful and it's amazing to see friends and family and even anonymous donors from across the globe believe in our cause! We are about halfway to reaching a 10k goal which Folino's Pizza in Vermont will match! This will be a huge deal, and allow Frank to begin the process of obtaining land for the trees. For everyone's understanding, we will plant 1,000 trees per acre - therefore, 20 must be acquired. Thank you again for going on this journey with us and please keep sharing with friends/family/and on social media.
