We are a team of passionate and committed people here on the Central Coast driven to create a space to grow food together for the community, to inspire the joy of growing your food, being part of something bigger than ourselves, and creating a garden of belonging and purpose.
This campaign is to help us raise funds for our community garden in Tuggerah which is located within the beautiful Central Coast Wetlands.
Our work is all done voluntarily with the help of our volunteers, groups, and guests.
We rely solely on funding, donations, sponsorships, and mainly in-kind hours and contributions.
This year we hope to build a small structure off our work shed to capture water for our water tank. The structure will also support solar panels to help us be fully self-sustainable energy-wise. This will enable us to set up an irrigation system for our nursery powered by an electric pump and also enable us to charge small gardening tools.
Your support would transform our garden into a fully functioning community garden where we can grow even more food for the community, provide seedlings to the community, deliver project-based workshops, and showcase a sustainable gardening model for other gardens and urban gardens around energy-efficient practices.
Should any surplus funds be raised they will be used to help finance our public liability insurance premium and site occupation license fee and to purchase seeds, seedlings, composts, manures, soils, and mulch to keep the garden flourishing for the rest of the year.
