To buy essentials like food, water, medicine, clothes, etc. We get very little emergency aid and prices have more than doubled. Like most people in Gaza, my uncle and his family had to flee everything and have had no income for 10 months. They are from northern Gaza, in Beit Hanoun, where their apartment was bombed. They had saved up money for years to build a house and a small olive farm that was completed a few years ago in Khan Younis, which was also bombed by Israel. For the past five months, they have been living in a tent in Rafah, which was supposed to be a safe place. They have fled three times, most recently from Khan Younis, where Israel invaded a small area housing 1.5 million Palestinians in tents. My cousin Abdullah is a nurse and worked at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis until January, but had to stop because the hospital was bombed. They are a family of eight. Ziad the father, Salwa the mother, Israa 23, Abdullah 22, Mohammed 21, Haifa 18, Nada 16, Yousef 14. The situation in Gaza is becoming increasingly brutal and unbearable for the civilian population. For nearly 11 months, the world has witnessed a genocide that is being broadcast live and no one is stopping it. Hunger is being used as a weapon against innocent Palestinians. Fortunately, there are many of us who are unable to sit back and watch, and are doing everything we can to scream and shed light on the massacre of an entire people. The world cannot ignore or overlook this. Israel is carrying out massacres on a daily basis. The death toll is said to be much higher than has been counted so far. Many are still under the rubble, and in many cases only the remains of bones have been found, which were unrecognizable. Number of dead and wounded on May 13: • 96,000 wounded • 41,206 civilians killed • 16,673 of them children • 11,269 of them women Source: Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor We greatly appreciate everyone who donates and participates in AGIVEME. You are giving our family hope and a lifeline in all the terrible things that are happening now. The idea is that this money will last for months to come. Due to problems withdrawing money in Gaza, the money will be transferred to my bank account, and then provided to our family as needed through Paypal or other types of banks. There are high fees for withdrawing money in Gaza, so they are withdrawing what is necessary. I will provide an update when the full amount is transferred.
